TODAY'S QUESTIONS:

Should I build my own computer? (Rich)
--Jim Keen and Wayne Stone have done this. You can get the exact model you want but it's time-consuming and takes some expertise. SW Ohio users can check MicroCenter. Another good source is this weekend's Dayton Hamvention.

Its not that time consuming. An Hour or two once you have don it a couple of times. The first time or two you should have an experienced builder supervise you. If you really do it a lot--- 30 minutes not counting the time to load software.

Thanks Steven ... I'm the guy contemplating building my own PC. More for the "tinkering" aspect than for the cost savings, but after adding RAM, hard drives, video boards, etc to computers for years, it looks like the next step.

We need a cookbook posted here with the best place to buy parts and pieces. (maybe a form with a pull down mention to come up with the performance/cost that someone is looking for?)
